Laos Community Based Tourism
Laos Community Based Tourism is an organization that works to develop Community Based Tourism & Eco-tourism with the participation of local people and tour operators to conservation the culture of ethnic groups, the nature of the Nam Ha National Protected Area, and increate generate income for the local people in the countryside and around the Nam Ha National Protected Aera.
Our Vision:

- Better cooperation between public and private sectors,
- Sustainable use of Natural and Historic areas,
- Gender mainstreaming promotion.
Our Mission:
- Facilitate Community based tourism research and development initiatives which strengthen local communities and support sustainable natural resource management;
- Build the capacity of Laos Community-based Tourism Networks to cooperate with the private sector, and to advocate for tourism policy which benefits local communities;
- Act as a Laos community based tourism information center;
- Provide community-based tourism training services.
- Raise awareness for local communities in terms of protected area management and natural resources conservation,
- Use a participatory approach to allocate and manage NPA resources, with an aim to increase wildlife populations and biodiversity,
- Improve the quantity and quality of human resources to cope with tourism growth and ensure the sustainable use of heritage resources,
- Continue to improve, expand and diversify ecotourism products to attract more visitors to Luang Namtha province and to generate more income for local people and the public sector,
- Use community-based ecotourism as a tool for creating jobs, contribute to poverty alleviation and create a balance between development and conservation activities, and finally
- Promote information about tourist sites in and around the Nam Ha NPA.
